Custom Android Fonts (for Samsung devices)

This is the first of (probably) many filler articles in the Random (/rng) category. These articles should be hidden from Hashnode, so if one isn't, let me know and I'll hide it.

Thanks for reading, and I hope this was helpful!

Download #mono_ here. You will also need a .ttf file, you can get them from Google Fonts, or just search them. I will be using JetBrains Mono.

Once Mono has been downloaded, install it and extract your font as it probably came in a zip file. Once done, open Mono then go right back to Files. Move these newly extracted fonts to the Internal Storage/monofonts/ttf folder. Reopen Mono, install Samsung Sans from the app and enable it, then back up Settings to Samsung Cloud (or OneDrive if you moved). Steps 1-4 are done, now you need to select and enable the font. You only need to do these steps to change them, but every couple of months you might want to redo the backup thing so you don't revert settings.

Choose the font that you moved to the TTF folder, then select the Default font. Uninstall & reinstall Samsung Mono, then restore settings, and you should have a custom font applied.

I hope you found this filler helpful, and I will get another article out soon.
